When it comes to hair , lets just say I don't like facial hair of any kind. Its not exactly a pet peeve because it applies only to me. I don't mind it as much on others but I do on myself. And because of this minor obsession of sorts I have tried out almost every method of removing facial hair. This post is a lowdown on products I have tried and the issues I've had with them. Several women want to get rid of their facial hair and are often scared to take the step. If you ask me - do it. Once you do it, there is no way one can go back to being their hairy self ever again. The difference is just too good to stop with one trial.

FACE BLEACHING

Despite my hatred for any visible hair on my face other than the brows and lashes I never ever bleached. Okay I did . Just once. Peer pressure, man. Worst beauty moment in my life. I hated it from day one and couldn't wait for the golden hair to vanish. I avoided the sun at all costs so nobody could see the golden disaster. I personally never liked it on any of my friends so it was worse for me on myself. Anyhoo...the bleach effect vanished in a couple of weeks and I never considered it an option ever again.

If you have thought about bleaching your face, think twice. I know a lot of beauty places in India follow their facial routines with a bleach routine. Lets just please agree on that fact that - they don't know what they are doing. Apart from the horrid golden hair syndrome it leaves one with, one must also consider that its a whole bunch of chemicals on the face. Chemicals that are changing the color of your hair. Imagine what it would do to your skin in a period of time ! Nothing good comes from bleaching - according to me.

The natural golden hair on Megan Fox's face looks pretty okay on her but wont on skin tones like mine. (Click to enlarge)

HAIR REMOVAL CREAMS

Another option is using hair removing creams. I used a couple of those and since they are chemicals one has to be extreme careful. They are cheap , work well, can be done at home but again - be very careful. One of these creams had a bad reaction on my face and my doc had me promise her that I would never touch these things again.

There are a few precautions you must take while using hair removing creams on your face. Close the lid properly. Don't use it if the product has expired. Buy only the ones meant for face. Don't keep it longer than the recommended time for your face. Never reapply on the same spot for at least 48 hours. These are chemicals that almost dissolve your hair from the root - powerful stuff that should not be taken lightly.

FACE WAXING

After my hair removing cream experience I never really cared much about the issue at hand until a couple of years back, when I discovered that face could be waxed too ! Aah the joy of face waxing ! I get my face waxed once every three months and I am completely hair free ! I almost feel like I was born like this ! It is one of the best things I have discovered fr myself. Instantly my face looks brighter, clearer, super soft and most of all hair free. To me the effect I get from waxing is similar to extreme exfoliation. The new cells growing and the complete absence of hair on my face make me look like I have the best skin !I love it love it love it love it.

I don't know if Kareena uses wax or got it laser-ed but the difference is noticeable. The change is brilliant ! (Click to enlarge)

But then waxing has its disadvantages. Some places on your face are a little more sensitive than others so you could get a few nicks here and there . Also there is a whole lot of redness and sometimes, I break out. This happens both when I do it myself and when done professionally. Sometimes these nicks are bigger and a bit deeper. If they are any deeper than the top layer of skin it takes a while to heal and could leave a scar. The maximum time a cut has taken to heal on my face was two weeks. That is to heal. Unfortunately it left a tiny scar right next to my eye.

Because of all this I often go for waxing on a Friday evening and stay at home the whole weekend waiting for my face to heal :(

The brown layer peeled off in a while but a light scar still exists

FACE THREADING

The last option - threading. I have threaded my eyebrows before and the upper lip area. Nothing beats threading as far as eyebrows are concerned. The shape , the thickness everything remains perfect with threading. Every Indian "aunty" you know (who can thread) will tell you about how great threading is and how waxing sucks. The Indian lady I went to once to get my eyebrows threaded said the same things to me. I don't know what the reason behind it is. Probably just an endemic that has spread among Indian aunties.

Despite knowing how great threading is, I dare not thread my whole face. If I could strip off a whole large area at a time with waxing , why go for threading which takes much longer and almost pulls out one hair at a time ? But something compelled me to try threading and that's the scar next to my right eye. I really don't want any more scars ever happening and if that means bearing a little more pain then am all for it.

SUN MAITA THREADER KIT

I was researching on finding the next best thing for me when I came across Sun Maita. I saw the video on their site and was impressed at how easy it looked ! But then again, it was threading. So, about a month back when I was given the opportunity to try it, I was excited and a little skeptical at the same time.

The Sun Maita Threader Kit contains

The Threader
Feel Less Cream - to lightly numb the skin
Chalk - to make hair more visible
The Closer - to soothe irritated skin and close pores
Instructions Manual
11 Extra Threads

The manual gives you simple instructions on how to place the threads on the threader. Once you are done assembling the two kinds of threads you are ready to begin. First you apply the Feel Less Cream and wait a couple of minutes for it to skin in. Once its no longer moist apply the chalk over the area and you can begin threading.

The Pain

The first time I tried it, it was very painful but that was because it was the special time of the month and everything seems ten time worse then. The second time I went for it was later on and I was amazed at how less painful it was. In fact I sat for an hour and threaded my whole face with an ooh or an aah. I am not saying it was not painful . It was bearable pain. Also it helped that I was watching a funny Bollywood movie while doing it.

My Reservations
I do have a few reservations with the kit. After an hour of threading my forearms ached. Its like squeezing a stress ball for an hour. I wish the threader was a little smaller or that my fingers were a bit longer. The product is meant for larger areas on your face so eyebrows are very tough to do with this product. Upper lip can be easily managed ! I also want the numbing cream to numb a little more. But instead from the next time, I plan taking a pain killer pill beforehand. At first it is bit overwhelming to get it right but as with anything new, once you get the hang of it, its a easy ride !

No More Scars !
Overall, I love the threader. For someone who was utterly scared of threading, it worked out well in the end. It removes my threading aunty from the picture and lets me take charge. I can carry it anywhere I want and do it anytime ! No more ruined Friday nights ! I had absolutely no redness or nicks or cuts. Yes, its a bit painful. Yes, it took me a while to get the hang of it. But I'll take temporary pain anytime over breakouts, redness, scars and a whole weekend of no action !

Was this article useful to you ? Obviously a LOT of time went into writing this post but I enjoyed sharing my experience with y'all ! Do you have any questions as far as facial hair goes ? There isn't a lot of information online on this topic and that's why I made this post as detailed as possible. As you see, I've tried it all and have a good idea on this topic. If that lady side burn is bugging you, go ahead and "take care" of her. Trust me, you will never miss her.

I think Priyanka Chopra need a change as far as her makeup routine goes. More specifically her lipstick routine. These are pics from almost a year back to one from a recent stage show.
She has on the same / similar lipstick no matter what the occasion ! Nothing is wrong with it but it doesn't really do much for her either ! Its just there, that's it. And its there - always ! She has a wonderful skin tone , some pinks, some berries, some this, some that...anything other than these brown nudes will make for a great change !

Are you stuck in a makeup rut as well ? If so, then its time for a change ! The makeup world is huge and filled with several possibilities ! Even a change in something as small as a lipstick could work wonders on your over all look ! All that matters is you being open to it !

Good Morning Ladies !

I got my coffee and I'm happy ! I have been craving Indian food for three days now. Hopefully this afternoon a friend of mine will turn up with some Indian take out. Yumma Yumma !

Have you forgiven me for the horror I put you through yesterday ? I hope your kids or your kid siblings weren't in the room. I promise to add a warning for the next horror adventure I put you through.

May be I could make it up to you ? Just may be...Gimme a chance here, please. You see these lip pencils I'm gonna tell you about are happy things. Like Romantic Comedies. Like When Harry Met Sally. Like You've Got Mail. Like Love Actually....

They make me happy. Very Happy. I have been wearing them to the gym happy. I cannot be separated from them happy. Eating Chinese / Indian food happy. This thick fat pencil is super glossy, is capable of providing almost opaque color on my lips, wonderfully conditioning and come in super cute summery shades ! The black and white packaging is tres chic ! And they also give you a sharpener with it ! I have been using it for more than a week and I've hardly made the pencil blunt. Meaning - its gonna last a while. Hopefully all summer ! And TX summers are LONG.....

And, they totally work well as blushes ! All you have to do is this - draw your favorite symbol ( I go for hearts) on the apple of your cheeks . Then think of the blondie who stole your high school boyfriend and rub the symbol off. What you have left my friend, is a gorgeous flush of color ! May your hatred of blondie go away with this popular stress reducing exercise.

But that's not all you can do with these ! You can also...

a. Leave love notes on the mirror
b. Draw cute stuff on your face
c. Use it to give that HOT stranger your number
d. Let Cruella know shez Cruella
e. Make a bindi on your forehead
f. Mark your sandwich in the common refrigerator
g. Draw heart symbols all over Robert Pattinson's cute...cute...

The possibilities are endless ! And I am not crazy. I've done three outta the seven there. And I'm not crazy. I'll let you guess which ones they were. And again, I'm not crazy.

Crime - a sheer hot pink at full opacity

Chase - a sheer watermelon (no not green, you silly ! Its pinkish -red) at full opacity

Have you tried these super glossy China Town Pencils ? Don't you love the chic packaging ? May be you've tried NARS or Avon lip pencils - if you have temme what you thought of them. Also, what else do you think I can do with these ? Again, its all about multitasking, man !

I'm sure you've heard this plenty of times from different MUAs , read it on several blogs and magazines. But have you tried it ? I am talking about this sentence " The easiest way to get the perfect nude lips is just to dab your concealer/foundation on your lips and add some clear gloss on top" Tadaaa....sounds easy and doable.

I did that, awright ! And this is what I got. Surely not a look I will ever try again. But see, I was willing to show you the terrible monstrosity of concealer on my lips just so you don't have to try it at home and get scurred. This one is not gonna show up on my Monday Make Up Tip Scrolls. Its not one for girls blessed with pigmented lips.

Do you do this ? Temme if I've gotten the trick wrong. I'm all for multipurpose products and if my foundation or concealer can gimme Kim.K lips. I'll do it.

This is one nail trend that just isn't for me - Long Cone-y Red Nails. I love red nails but cant keep mine long. Even if I could I wouldn't paint it red and wouldn't shape it like that. It almost looks like a red Christmas tree !

What about you ? Can you keep em this long ? How do you shape your nails. Rounded ? Pointy like Rihanna ? Or Square ? Mine are rounded and short like a school girl's nails ;)

Two red nail polishes that I love are - Zoya - America and Essie - Forever Young.

This is me, wearing Essie - Forever Young

I am truly truly saddened by this. I still cant believe its true. When the news first came out I was hoping it wasn't true. In fact I was a little mad at TMZ for quoting that he was dead when he was just taken into the hospital. Unfortunately it was true.

I cant even begin to describe how much his music influenced me growing up. I am sure several of you have similar things to say. I remember when I was in 5th grade or so, my study partner was crazy about MJ and I remember seeing the Thriller video for the first time in his house. I never got it then and was scared to death. But then slowly I fell into the rhythm that was MJ . Later on in 9th grade, several of my friends and I got together and made a small singsong of sorts at school which featured several songs from crazy boy bands and of course MJ. We had used their tunes and written our own lyrics. The Earth song was big then and I remember having such positive thoughts about this man and all that he was doing. The charities, the celebrity fund raisers , the millions of $ he gave. I never believed all the "claims" that were made against him later on.To me he always remained the King of Pop and a philanthropist like no other.

I think Pete Wentz said it the best "I have never felt this before in my life. I could measure my childhood on an MJ growth chart. Rip. The last legend."

R.I.P MJ

I bought this product purely based on the rating and reviews on MUA. I had actually never even noticed it at the drug stores until I went looking for it. Another big reason was the mint part. Your girl here loves anything and everything mint. Mint chocolates, mint ice creams, mint chutney, mint foot spray, mint chewing gum and much much more.

The product smells great ! I almost wanna eat it if I can manage to get the stuff outta the tube. I think its packed under high pressure and you'll need just as much pressure to get the product out. Its a thick thick paste. Because its so thick, applying the product is also a bit time taking. It cleaned my face thoroughly but it left me super dry. I think it helped clear a few tiny breakouts I had on my neck. Given how dry I felt I am guessing this would be better choice for girls with oily skin than for my normal - dry skin. Have you tried the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask ? Did it work any better on you ?

Lets Talk Ice Cream !
What is your favorite ice cream flavor ? High five if its mint chocolate chip ! The best mint chocolate chip ice cream is made by Braum's, just in case you wanted to know my favorite.

What can I say, I love masks ! Been doing the mud mask since I was teenager and have had excellent results always. It did keep me from getting the dreaded teenage acne ! And then there were the chemical masks, the enzyme masks, the fruit masks and many more. Each did something good, some didn't do all that much. Through all this my favorite remained the classic mud mask. As Julia Roberts says in My best Friend's Wedding " The one constant thing in my life, is that he'll always be there". Well my "he" is the mud mask.

I am usually exhausted after an hour and half of cardio - EXHAUSTED. All I want at the end of it is relaxation and food. So, a couple of days back I got home from the gym and did just that. I washed my face with water and applied the Alaska Mud Mask in Lavender-Peppermint all over my face and neck with the brush. Seriously super refreshing mask. Most mud masks just do the cleaning but really relaxing with a mask is just as important. The cooling effect from the peppermint and the buttery nature of the mask are too good ! The rejuvenated soft face - way better !

The best part is that the mask is made from 100 % natural ingredients ! I highly recommend it for pore cleansing. On their site you'll a pic of the founder at the glacial mud site. Literally makes me wanna book a vacation to Alaska just so I could roll in that mud !

If I had to choose just one , it would be the heavy lip liner. You can call it my pet peeve. I cringe when I see the dark brown lip liner with almost clear gloss filling the lips. Cringe. Throw Up. Nauseating. Disgusting. Stomach Churning. I'll stop here.

Tell me what is your beauty pet peeve. Is it the lighter shade of foundation ? Too much eye makeup ? You can tell me. I can keep a secret.

Deconstruction : This is so true ! Lipstains literally stain your lips with color and usually don't come off very easily. So layering your lipstick over a stain will make it stay on so much more longer. And even when the lipstick does rub off, you still have the stain ! Works best for reds, oranges and dark lipsticks.

Hello Ladies !

Happy Monday ! Did you have a good weekend ?

If I had to describe my weekend I'd call it - Bolly Buster. I don't know what took over me but I woke up Saturday morning craving SRK. Nobody does romance better than him and the only movie I remembered was Kabhie Kushi Kabhi Ghum, so I sat and watched it. I truly believe that a lack of romance in real life can be compensated by an overdose of it from Bollywood and of course lipstick. And yesterday I watched Bluff Master. So I'm full. My Bolly appetite has been served and served well !

Now temme what you did. I hope yours was more exciting than mine ! Think about it and we'll get back to it later.

The Clinique Summer 2009 Bamboo Pink Collection

Read my preview post before this one, so you know how I feel about the collection. I've always wondered what I'd wear if I was invited to meet the Queen of England . Okay I lied. Who thinks of such stuff ! Surely not me. But if I were invited to meet the Queen I would most probably use items from this collection for my meeting-the-queen look. Did you know the Queen was 22 when she gave birth to her first child ? Again, I have never wondered about meeting the queen and I am not obsessed with royalty. I'm just saying...if I did, then...

The collection is for women of all skin tones. And this cannot be said for most collections. Here are the swatches. Ogle at it and then make a mad rush to the mall.

Fresh Bloom All Over Color

Though it says fresh bloom and the flower looks a lot like the Fresh Bloom Collection released for spring this year, there is a marked difference. This product only has about 15.6 % of the frost that fresh bloom products had. This is more like a pink glow for your face. It is for people who don't like bronzers, don't need one or just want to change it up. It catches light so beautifully and makes my face glow in multitudes of pink. Multidimensional stuff, I tell ya !

Bamboo Pink Eye Shadow Quad

Four sophisticated colors in one palette - a champagne pink / taupe / deep wine with hint of brown/ brown pink. I personally love wearing each color on its own all over the lid. Or any of the three with champagne pink as highlight. Sexy as hell ! Totally S.S.S

Butter Shine Lipstick - Bamboo Pink

A dusty pink with a hint of brown and a pearly finish. Great for pigmented lips. Great for work. Great for Kroger. Great for you. Great for your mom. And great for your neighbor with the tiny dog and big hair. Oh wait, that's my neighbor.

Cream Shaper For Eyes

Chocolate Luster is a pretty doe eyed brown. But the other color -Did they call it Cocoa shimmer ? I call it pencil taupe. It is the exact taupe from the eyeshadow quad in a pencil from. You know how makeup artists never get tired of saying " Silver / Gold on the inner corner brightens up your eye" Well news flash - gold or silver on my eye at work only gets me the nick name Goldie- Hawn . ( Yeah my imaginary coworkers are super creative with names) So, what I'm getting at is that this taupe makes for an excellent inner corner color. See, I told you I'd get to the point sooner or later.

Get your sunglasses out, camera flash on silver causes blinding

The Bamboo Brush is beautiful in its design and I'd say you should get it. But if you had to skip one thing from the collection then I'd say its the brush. Nothing's wrong with it but I don't want your wallet to kick me on my behind. The deal is this - I'll save ya $30 in return for no kicking-the-behind.

So, tell me how was the weekend. We are now come back to it. Indulge me. Gimme details. Make up stories. Anything !

Love,
Indian Girl

I personally refrain from judging people who want to whiten their skin because I think the issues are beyond just that one person. This is not an issue just with Indians, but with people from several other countries including a few in South Asia, East Asia, Africa and probably a lot more !

It is not at all unusual for me to receive emails from women the world over asking for recommendations to lighten their skin tone or whiten their face. Several of these emails come from brides and the email goes something like this " Hi, I am getting married in six months and would like to do something to lighten my skin tone". Some are like " Can you suggest some whitening creams ? I am getting married in a few months and you know how it is with Indian brides ". Others " I am dark brown in color and would like to become fair". I kid you not, stuff like this comes to me often.

The deal is this. Yes, I know how it is for several Indian brides or women. But it need not be like this always. These are a few ways of what I think we can do to change it forever. You tell me what else we can do...

One can change it by not making skin tone an issue with your kids. We maketh this generation so lets not let anyone fault us, the next time around. Never let our future kids feel anything negative about the color of their skin or that of others. Make it a non-issue.

If you know of anybody who thinks being light skinned is important - talk to them. Don't go all " WTH. Be proud of what you have" on them. Doesn't really help anything. Just talk. Ask where it stems from. Were their parents or grand parents particular about having a light skinned baby ? You need be a therapist but you can talk ! Coz most often it is the people you love the most that leave impressions on your brain and sometimes scar your thoughts for life.

Next time anyone you know mentions wanting to whiten their face, politely correct it to skin brightening, dark spot reducing. Make a joke or two about a $5 cream changing DNA patterns. Plus, isn't a so called white face and darker body funny. It is to me !

I hope celebrities take a stance and make it easier for Indian girls to love themselves and their skin tones . It is sad how many women is the world are verbally abused for something they had no hand in. I wish celebrities would take a stance and ask for a name change on these products. I have a few suggestions - skin brightening, dark spot reducing, evening of skin tone, soft glowing skin. Anything just take the color out of it. If none of these celebrities agree to be featured in these ads, wouldn't that cause a small revolution of sorts ? If you have a voice on the world's platform - use it.

Lastly, if you are very passionate about a cause, don't be anonymous. A lot more value come to the words you say when a name is attached to it. You are proud about having an opinion on an issue. Be proud to attach your name to it. May be even a email address or your blog.

Now take it easy with the comments. Address the issue not your fellow readers ! Let them say what they wanna say and you say what you wanna say - on the topic. Tell us about your experiences. Tell us what you plan on doing to make this a non issue in the future.

Lots of love,
Indian Girl

Not a big fan of this girl since I saw an interview of hers at the Loreal party. All her casual interviews are pretty cute but this Loreal one did require a dose of professionalism. To me she sounded like a 10 year old who was trying to make a speech. I wouldn't hire her to represent my brand if I had one. But since that's not happening anytime soon...may be you could tell me what she's telling after the words " Like a pearl....its...."...its what ?

Not feeling the ad either. The first close up shot shows the abundance of makeup. If its for a skincare line, I'd keep her face looking as natural possible. Its very pretty makeup but just a bit more for the ad. I'm a BIG fan of Indian adverts, just not this one. We make some of the best, most meaningful ones . The BGM is pretty good but that's about it.

That apart, I believe pearl is very good for the skin. Is the line now available in Indian markets ? Have you tried it ? Any good ? Tell me tell me...I wanna know

1. Look for discounts and try to get what you pay for.

2. Separate wants from needs.

3. Think before you spend because daily choices add up.

4. Ask for a bargain. If you don't ask, you wont get it.

5. Keep your price tags and receipts ...just in case.

Before you assume I'm the Indian Suze Orman, lemme tell ya that all these pointers were taken from the book - The Smartest Way To Save. While its not exactly chick lit, I ended up reading this book coz I couldn't make it to the library last weekend and ran out of my kinda books. To some this would be a blessing in disguise. I was just happy I had something to read and share with y'all. I didn't read the entire book but it was easy to pick and choose between sections that would apply to one like - how to save on beauty, how to save on clothes, food and so on. The book also has plenty of advice in terms of taxes and investments. And for the " Its all in your head" fans there is some of that too. Hey, did you know about "discount districts" ?

Do you have any tips on saving ? Is there a savings routine you follow when it comes to shopping ? Do you give into peer pressures while shopping ?

You know as well as I know about my inability to apply falsies. Who ever does this job in less than a minute is high up there in my books along with Shah Rukh Khan, Air conditioning and Rice - the Holy Trinity

Well this was the case until I struck gold ( or oil since we're in the oil land) with a pair of drugstore goodies from Revlon ! Its called the Revlon Fantasy Length Lashes - #91128 LUSH.

Its not a strip of lashes but eight individual pieces that can be use anywhere along the length of your eye ! And because they are tiny bits you can place them in under 30 seconds !! We are not talking in minutes anymore. I've been using the glue it came with and have had no problems.

Check this look. Yes, its the original Lara Dutta Look from the movie blue. I used one of the tiny strips on the outer edge of my eye - best, most recommended place to try this on for maximum effect. Look at that. Look at that ! My natural lashes are just not long enough to curl so beautifully. Loves it !

A pair of these can be bought for $5 ! They have several other natural looking and dramatic ones. They also have the self adhesive kind. I haven't yet tried them yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to gossip all about it. Have you tried any of the lashes from the Fantasy Lengths line ?

YEAH ! Them other boys donno how to act. YEAH !

Shake it off . Shake it off .

Clinique sure is bringing the sexy back this summer. As much as I am in love with all the bronze and orange and blues going around , this collection puts a whole another twist on summer. This is Some Serious Sexy Stuff (S.S.S.S) ! Its the kinda sexy that does not come by so often. The Sophisticated, Seductive Sexy (S.S.S) Its the kinda sexy you're born into. Clinique is born into it and thankfully are packaging some of that much needed S.S.S.S and sharing it with us mere mortals. So, we can all look S.S.S ! Keep up !

The beauty does not end with the shades. Its flows deep into the packaging. The packing is in S.S.S.Steel. Totally drool worthy bamboo inspired packaging ! Sure the collection is being released a little late but like they say in Hindi - Der Aaye Durust Aaya ( I need some clarification on what Durust means exactly. I have a general idea :p)

NOTE for Desi girls : This is one collection you have to check out. The colors revolve around pink - brown, mauve - pink and taupe. Great for several occasions, work and just plain everyday. It is also check out worthy for women who wanna keep it subtle yet not too boring. The colors look like they'll flatter a range of skin tones; which is just what Desi ones are - a mile long range of skin tones !

Love the name - Hot Brights ! Sounds like a 80's inspired theme to me. Wouldn't you agree ? Why would you . I have no clue what I'm talking about or what the 80's were like. I am a 90's girl ! I think.

The Hot Brights Collection from The Body Shop is a small and complete collection with two products in each category. Totally in love with pink that I am...I was happy with the pink-purple theme they had going. Isn't pink and purple totally 80's ? Like I said, I wouldn't know...

If it weren't for the cute oval packaging I'd have totally hopped, skipped and jumped over the Hot Brights Eye Colors. They are matte. Isn't matte eyeshadow like totally 80's ? What I mean is I am not a fan of matte eye shadows. But if you are , then this is your cue to stand up and sing Take My Breath Away ....or Eternal Flame...or The Way You make Me Feel by MJ. That's a good one ! I'd totally sing The Way You make Me Feel for the Hot Brights Eyeliners. Pretty purple on big brown eyes - perfect match. It also helps that the pencil is creamy and easy to use.

What did take my breath away was the Lip Shine / Cheek Stain. I got tough competition at my gym with all the Real Desperate Housewives of Dallas County showing off their fake hair extensions and real six packs. So I fake it too...I fake juicy red lips and cheeks. I fake the just had a mad-m#@e-o@t- session-with-cute-vampire-next-door juicy red lips and cheeks. Hey, I'm a beauty blogger whoz totally not into working out and does not have a cute vampire next door. So don't blame me for wanting to fake it ! My vampire bitten red lips carry me through one hour of wretched cardio. What more can I ask for ! Looking glamorous while working out is every girl's dream !

If you're a 80's girl, forgive my inability to remember what it was like back then. May be you could tell me about it...

and probably don't need to...

1. I love using fancy cutlery everyday.
And on fancy days. And daily. And on special days.

2. I will wear my new shirt or my new pair of pants, as many times as possible until I get another new one to replace this new one.
The old new one now becomes the old one and the new new one remains the new new one.

3. I eat oatmeal every morning for breakfast
I make killer oatmeal every morning. Just ask me for the recipe and I'll give it to you. Just like that ! No catch here ! I love telling people what I eat. You must follow me on twitter for that. In fact you must follow anyone on twitter for this sole reason.

4. I read like crazy. Scratch that. I read chick lit like crazy.
I love Sophie Kinsella and Madeleine Wickham. Huh, you caught that ! Very Good !

5. I am Indian

Okay so that's four things you didn't know about me. I bet you knew the story about the new shirt becoming old shirt when the new new shirt came along; thanks to my nick - New Shirt/Old Shirt Girl. The one I proudly use to sign off under every post.

So go on, tell me something about you. You know you want to...
