I love palettes ! Any day palettes are much better than individual shadows mostly because they come in complimenting colors and cost much lesser than getting the individual shadows in all those colors. One such amazing palette I came across is from Pur Minerals.

The palette contains 16 complimenting shades and comes with a look book which gives you detailed descriptions of several looks you can do with this palette. The colors don't have confusing names , instead have a simple 1 to 16 numbering which makes following the look book so much easier. The look book is designed to suit the needs of different eye colors - brown, hazel, green and blue eyes. For each of these eye colors you can find three complimenting looks especially designed to make your eye color pop.

With so many colors out there it can be pretty confusing for some one who is new to makeup. On the other hand when you have stacks of shadows, it can still be overwhelming when you want to put a look together asap. The Paint by Numbers Kit solves this problem with its pigmented, finely milled shadows that blend easily on your lid and stay put the whole day long. The kit comes with a brush which surprisingly is pretty useful. The colors in this palette are a mix of bright, dark and nude. The darker colors work great as eyeliner shades while the nude shades are guaranteed to look good on a variety of skin tones. My favorite color is #5 which works perfect as a highlighter and as an all over color. #12 and #14 are great night time colors.

I put together these two looks to give you an idea of how good the colors are. The first look is the Pur Couture look from the look book for hazel eyes . The colors used in this look are 7, 3, 12, 16.

This second look is great for work place or on days when you want to go soft on you eyes. It is the Professional look for hazel eyes from the look book. The colors used in this look are 5 and 13.

I highly recommend this palette if you are looking to build a good collection of quality shadows. Read more on Pur Minerals Paint by Numbers Kit here

Wonderful site you have here. You're a natural at applying makeup it seems although your profile indicates you started out later than most. Beautiful photos and detailed explanations! Can't wait to come back again and read more!
