A few days back I told you about the spanking new creme shadows and eye liner pencils from Estee Lauder. Since then, I've been lemming these like crazy. Something about those gold pots makes me feel like they'll bring me good luck. I almost wanna rub it and wish for genie to appear.

Finally I got one each but now that I have one...I want more ! My color of choice was the creme shadow in Golden Apricot. Though Precious Jade and Blue Velvet were equally pretty, I knew if I got Golden Apricot, I would use it every day. The color is just absolutely fab. It is a flesh colored creme shadow with tiny flecks of gold. Two swipes of this on my lids and my eyes are out from being dull to becoming bright doe eyed beauties.

Pairing Golden Apricot with Black Plum is brilliant ! I'm pretty good at perceiving things as far as food goes. For example, at restaurants, I read the menu and I know exactly what the dish is going to taste like. No fancy sauce names can make me get something I wont like. But this time my intuition worked great with colors too ! Black Plum is a super pretty plum color with a hint of violet. I expected it to be a little more darker, given the name but nevertheless I am very happy with it.

I did a simple look with the two. Me thinks it will look great for a summer, day time wedding eye look. The creme shadow actually stays put for at least 7 hours without creasing, which is great because you don't have to touch up. Also instead of doing a complete neutral look, a hint of the black plum on the lower lid makes the whole look a bit more fancy and unexpected. Initially I did not want to add the black liquid liner along the upper lash line, but ended up doing so to cover a mascara mishap :)

Products Used & Description :

1. Apply concealer all over the lid , under eyes. Set it with some translucent powder.
I used Three Custom Color Specialists Concealer #6, Cover FX translucent powder.

2. Using a flat brush apply the shadow creme all over lid and dust the remaining under the brow.
I used Estee Lauder Creme Shadow in Golden Apricot

3. Apply a purple eyeliner along your waterline and lower lash line
I used Estee Lauder Double Wear pencil in Black Plum

4. Draw a line along your upper lash line with a liquid eyeliner in black.
I used Prestige Liquid Liner

5. Apply mascara and do your brows. Strong, well groomed brows look great with this look !
I used Smashbox Bionic Mascara, Milani Brow Pencil, Brow Kit.

What do you think ? Have you tried these gold pots yet ? If you hit Nordstrom, try swatching these. You'll love the feel of it ! Read more here

This looks great on you Indian Girl! I think Estee Lauder is kind of an under-rated makeup brand. One of my fave mascaras is made by them =)

ahhhhhhhh that purple eyeliner is to DIE for!! and so is that e/s!! maybe ill get it when estee lauder has a GWP somewhere LOL and they do that often enough anyway. but do you know of any cheaper dupes for bright colored eyeliners? i wanted to get the MUFE mini set from sephora, but it was $35 for 5 mini pencils, and it kinda didnt make sense lol, even tho i loved the colors.

Hi Pharm_chick !
do tell me how you like when you do get em ! A good, not so expensive alternative would be the eyeliners from Prestige. You can find them at Ulta. They cost about $5 and they have around 12-15 colors. I guess Wet n Wild also makes em, but I haven't tried any ...
