Dats it! Tell me your sunscreen please....
I am bored using my Neutrogena sunscreen on my face and am looking for a new one. But, I have no clue which one to get. So I am approaching my lovely trustees ( you guys :p) to tell me what you use and why you like it.
This will not only relieve me of my misery but also help other beauties like yourself stay safe this summer!

Love y'all,
Indian Girl

I would recommend Blue Lizard's sunblock, I wrote a blog on my site.

Hey There Indian Girl!! I've been a long time regular reader now of your lovely blog :)
So sunscreens.. I've tried plenty drugstore sunscreens for face and for body with the goal to be able to use them every day.. here is what has and what has not worked for me (darker skin i.e. Indian as well)

- Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dri-Touch : very good texture, good for oily skins too. BUT (thts a big but, no pun intended) it leaves a terrible white cast, exp in flash photos. High SPF and PPD.

- Neutrogena Healthy Defense 45 moisturizer (not in sunscreen aisle, but in face moisturizers section). Feels quite like Olay Complete SPF 15 going on :) Which to me, is a good thing. I really like this sunscreen, but it is not moisturizing enough for me, as I have dry to normal skin. This could work very well for Normal skins. It does not leave any white cast. Tested during my Europe trip with loads of pictures :) High SPF and PPD.

- La Roche Posay's popular Anthelios SX 15 : Low SPF, Very high PPD. I found it to be too oily for my dry skin, I really dont know how some oily skin people manage to use it. Esp over my morning Vit C and E serum, it just does not cut it, as much as I wanted to like it :(

- Banana Boat Dri-Blok SPF 30: Extremely good texture, dries to a powdery finish, no white cast. I would really recommend this to oily skin people. For me, it was WAY too drying, but I have dry to normal skin to begin with. My skin would feel tight by the end of the day. Also, it clogged my pores. High PPD.

- Olay Complete SPF 30: Mediocre PPD. Hmm... I didnt like the texture, a little sticky in my opinion. But I know people who swear by it.

- Banana Boat Sunwear SPF 50: This is my everyday (weekday and weekend) sunscreen for over a year now. Feels like a moisturizer going on, dries up fast, makeup goes smoothly on top of it, no white cast, very good SPF and very good PPD. Love it!

- Hawaiian Tropics Baby Faces and Tender Places SPF 60+: This is my "other" favorite. Feels like a heavy moisturizer going on, no white cast, dries up fast. This is my staple for body moisturizer. High SPF and high PPD. Love it!

Hi Indian Girl!
I am in love with your blog! You have the most amazing eyes!

I've heard that Skinceuticals are good at sunscreens. Their Daily Sun Defense scores a 4.2 on makeupalley with 80% buying again. I'm going to give this one a go...

I'm using Neutrogena ultra sheer dry tough sunblock SPF 45.

It's the only sunscreen I've found that doesn't break my face out.

I would recommend Aveda's SPF 85 Sunblock.. I get them to mix it for me. Honestly I have such sensitive skin, and this has never broken out, I've been using this for 1 year now. I love it!!!

Neutrogena broke me out. :(

Hey Sonali!
Thank you so very much for your detailed reply! It helped me a lot!
I did use Banana boat around 4 years back and had very bad rashes on my face...since then I have never used it ever. But now after I heard what you said...I think I am willing to give it more than a try :)

I hate the white cast too....makes one look like an alien. I get that and a sticky feeling with OLAY complete :(

Hey Sarah!
Thank you!!
I use Neutrogena Dry Touch too..but the SPF 80 one coz I tan like crazy in a matter of minutes
:(
I like it too and have used it for more than a year now. A little goes a long way and the white cast is not very bad on me with it.
It is my fallback sunscreen!!

Hey Saniya!!! Long time, No see!
I really wanna try Aveda except there are no outlets near my place. I am gonna find one out and give their sunscreen a try. I love the smell of all AVEDA products....so heavenly!!! The store itself makes me feel so calm and serene ;)

You are very welcome, I became very interested in the topic around this time last year. Blue Lizard has a very good cost effectiveness. It may not be the best, but its the best for the price it is sold for... only ~$9. What a deal.
