Thanks to wonderful blogger iheartmakeup, I finally decided to buy Lash blast. For those of you who are regular readers of beauty blogs, this is another review of Lash blast and what it did to my lashes. A lot of people have had wonderful results with this mascara, unfortunately it did not do so much to my lashes.
It adds a lot of volume but does not lengthen at all. So if you have fine lashes and want some volume , I highly recommend Lash blast.

Apart from this lash blast did not hold the curl of my lashes. I have extremely straight lashes that point downwards, so my lash curler has to work over time trying to curl them. Because of this, I need the mascara to compliment my curler and hold the curl for me. Unfortunately Lash blast did not do this. But then again, it could just be my lashes - they are stubborn as hell.

But what I LOVED about this mascara is the volume and the natural eyeliner effect it provides to my upper lashes. After a good coat of lash blast, I find it unnecessary to use an eyeliner coz it beautifully lines the inner rim of my eyelid!!! Just adds so much dimension to the eye! I for one, am scared of lining the inner side of my upper lid, I know a lot girls do this comfortably - just not me. But Lash blast makes up for this and wonderfully lines my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!

On my quest to find a lengthening formula, I went back to my trustee - Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara. I am not a big fan of artificial lashes so I did not want something that gave the effect of falsies. I want a mascara that makes me look like I have naturally beautiful long lashes and Clinique does just that. It lengthens beautifully but does not add much volume. It is very good with holding the curl, if not the best.

So, I did the obvious. I added a good coat of clinique and lengthened my lashes. Next I applied 2 good coats of Lash blast and voila - I had beautiful long luscious lashes !!!

I have pictures down that help compare the two.

Another mascara I love for lengthening is - Estee Lauder Lash XL Mascara. Its easy to apply and does a great job !

Bare Lashes - Notice how they point downwards ..sigh
Start off with moisturized eyes + concealer.

Curling my lashes using - Revlon Eye Lash Curler

Curled Lashes !
After applying Lash Blast Mascara alone:

After applying Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara alone:

Clinique + Lash blast - long lushious lashes !

Compare : Left eye - Lash Blast + Clinique , Right Eye - Lash Blast

What is your favorite mascara? I would love to know what you use everyday and what you save for those extra oomph days ;) I am still on the quest for my HG mascara, but for now I am happy with this combo. Did you try Lash blast? How was it on you?
Have a great weekend girls!!

Hey girl,

(I tried to email you first but for some reason the message did not go through)

I just wanted to thank you for visiting my blog, the comments and the compliments. I'm happy that the comments were helpful. Have you tried CherryCulture.com for the NYX lippies? They really do have the best prices:99 cents! Of all the colours I got, I highly recommend you try Sierra it's DA BOMB for a peach lippie and frappuccino will give you a baby doll nudie pink look, it's a colour that's yummy but I just cannot put my finger on how best to describe it.

Anyways, the indian makeup blog scene has just begun to blossom and I'm happy to be part of it.

See ya around,

Anu :
Aaah! Another Lash Blast fan ! I liked the mascara and am even wearing it right now. I am slowly beginning to love it coz
1. It is not irritating my eyes.
2. I dont feel like I am wearing any mascara at all...its totally weightless!

HEY!!! I totally understand the problem with stubborn lashes. I'm asian so my lashes go straight downwards and rn't very long. Personally my favourite mascara is CG's Lashblast, but it has to be in waterproof. Only waterproof mascara will hold my lashes. I love the price point too lol. I tried clinique mascara for the first time a couple days ago. It wasn't the same as yours. It was horrible on me. I believe it was the high definition lashes.

Good idea! Pairing a lengthening 'scara with Lash Blast..LB happens to be my favourite on the planet..more than Lancome even...but if this takes it to the next level I'm gonna try!
