This weekend I will have the honor of meeting brow guru Christi Harris ! You probably know her from The Tyra Show or have read about her in one of the many magazines that she has been featured in.

In preparation I have been growing my brows out so she can shape them for me. To say I am super excited is putting it mildly. I've never had my brows professionally examined and shaped.

If you have any brow related questions please leave a comment below and I'll get you the answers from Christi Harris herself ! Any brow related question is fine - best shape for my face, how to fill brows, anything.

Love,
Indian Girl

Hiya!!
My question is what is the best brow shape for a "diamond" (according to many online self-quizzes) shaped face? My eyebrows are very thick and dense and they seem to taper off at a point just before my brow bone curves (if that makes sense?) with a couple of longer hairs growing sparsely along the remaining curve of the brow bone (if, again, that makes sense). I have tried both waxing and threading and when these hairs are waxed/threaded, my brows appear to grow in straight lines that are only slightly curved. Does that have something to do with my arch or lack thereof? Any help would be appreciatiated and btw I love your blog!!!!

P.S. Is it possible to achieve the look Christi Harris suggests by waxing because threading, the more precise option, hurts too much for me?

Hi! I want to know whats the best way to fill in my brows, which are ver sparse in the front, but get dense towards the end. And how do I make it not look fake? Thanks!

Hey! My brows are super thin and im afraid to tread and wax em because i feel eventually there's just not going to be anything left. Tips for making eyebrows thicker or how to avoid them from constantly thinning out? What is the better option threading or waxing?

My question is more personal than general. My face shape is oval/oblong and my eyebrows are shaped slightly different from each other. One is arched while the other is more round. Is that normal?

Also, I want to second the request for before and after pix :)

My question is about where to start: I have thick and full eyebrows (I'm Indian too! haha) and just turned 20 relatively recently. I just don't really know how to approach them in terms of shaping or cleaning up because I'm afraid that if I do it myself I'll mess it up. Is it better to try and do it yourself or go to someone professionally? And if it's your first time, should they be tweezed, waxed, or threaded for the most natural look? What's the best way to just keep them cleanly shaped yourself after getting it done the first time?

I too would love to see "Before-and-After" pictures!

Thanks so much!!

I love your blog!

Hi AIMB,
so my eyebrows are not even in length, growth or height. I sometimes have to fill them in with pencil to fill them in with pencil. I have tried growing them out and then get them threaded. However, they don't really grow back full anymore. What is the best way to make them grow more even? How can I shape them to make them look more even?

I want to know if tweezing is really as bad as the threading people make it sound. Does it really cause ingrowns, or is that just a ploy to get you not to touch up your brows yourself? Also, please do take before and after pics.

Hi Guys !

All excellent questions. I have made a note of them and will ask Christi for tips.

I really really wish you would leave at least a fake name so I don't have to use numbers to refer to you :(

I will share before / after pics. Before pics are all over the blog ;)

I also thought I'd share what I know from experience. My thoughts have definitely changed over the years from continuous research and learning.

Vaish - tweezing aint bad at all as long as you know when to stop. I have been tweezing for five years now and would like to think I have decent brows. I have never had an ingrown once and don't do anything special to avoid ingrowns either. I know friends who tweeze and they have never mentioned ingrowns.

Threading , Waxing and tweezing all pull hair out from the root. And sometimes because of this hair does not grow back. That is why it is EXTREMELY important to tweeze / wax / thread only stray hair. Never over do it. Never work too much towards thinning out your brows unless they are very thick and make you look hairy. Because in some cases hair cannot / will not grow back.

Eyebrows for most of us are not even. They vary in their shape / thickness, density and growth pattern. So yes, uneven eyebrows are very much normal. You know what they say - eyebrows are sisters not twins.

Threading and waxing both do the same thing - according to me. They both pull hair out from the root. Which one is better ? That is completely personal. Some have better experience with threading and some with waxing. Some of us hate the pain threading brings and some of us cannot stand the thought of hot wax anywhere near our eyes.

People think threading is better because it is slower than waxing and you can shape as you go. Where as with waxing its done in one quick pull.

With both these techniques the person who is doing it is important. How much they know about brows and shaping counts for more than choosing either of the techniques. Make sure you have a good talk with the professional and express your concerns and continuously monitor what they are doing.

Love,
