I've tried to apply eyeliner several times but my eyeliner always comes out looking crooked. Help ! - Doli

How do you get your eyeliner looking so neat. Mine never does - Katie

1. Don't apply eyeliner when you are in a hurry. When I am rushing my hands are usually a bit shaky and unsteady.

2. Make your hand steady by placing your elbow on a table.

3. Dot the area along your lash line and connect the dots for a perfect line.

4. Draw the line in small strokes starting from inner corner moving outwards.

5. Use a creme or gel eyeliner with an angled eyeliner brush. They are more forgiving than regular liquid eyeliner bottles.

6. Try a pen eyeliner with felt or brush tip. What ever makes your skirt fly !

7. If you did use a liquid/ gel / creme liner and your line got a little wonky - let it dry. Once its dry, run a bit of powder shadow over it and smudge it out. Nobody will notice a crooked line underneath and the double layers will keep your eyeliner looking fresh longer !

8. Draw a light line along your lash line using a pencil eyeliner. With this as your base, you can now apply a liquid liner over it.

Practice will make it perfect with time. Eventually you'll be a liner queen !

Guys ! What tips do you have on eyeliners ? Do you have a product that helped you master the technique ? Dish ...

I apply a gel eyeliner with an angled brush and this is what I usually do. I just keep tapping the brush little by little and once i have covered all of the lashline, I run the brush over the line once again to make it look like a uniform line.

IG, I have one question for you and would be extremely glad if you give me any suggestions. My foundation always ends up a little ashy and unnatural on my chin. I am a medium skin tone and the chin area alone is a little darker. What do I do?

Preeti !

I have the exact same issue. My chin is a shade darker than the rest of my face. The easiest thing to do is to match your foundation with you chin. Some people like to get two foundations matching the face and one for chin. Apply them separately and do some SERIOUS BLENDING. Another thing is to use a liquid foundation in shade matching the chin and dust some powder over it in a shade matching the rest of the face.

I just get a foundation matching my chin and run a regular ( rest of the face) shade of powder in the center of my face.

Great tips for the eyeliner! I actually can't ..well.. i don't know how to apply eyeliner on the bottom. I don't get the same "dang her eyes look smoky hot" look no matter what i use on top or bottom of eyes. Over night it looks like it just melted under my eyes! I use MAC pens. I love your blog! thanks for all the tips! cheers!

Thanks for the lovely tips here.I will definitely think of replacing my brush with a pen tip soon. And attempting to make a dotted line is a great method to avoid a bad line actually.

Since I'm an older "girl" I don't line the lower lash. I use a pencil eyeliner on top and "wing" it out a bit beyond the outer corner. As I'm Asian, I make the line thicker at the middle of the eye to avoid looking sleepy. Going over the pencil with either the same color shadow - or a colorful dark shade - in several directions to smudge is a good idea to "set" the liner.

Just have fun!

Try the Loreal lineaur intense felt tip liquid eyeliner. Honestly its bst eyeliner i have tried so far. The felt tip makes it so damn easy to do winged liner and the formula is awesome
