Ladies !

I am happy to report - its gone !!!!
The weight gone
The boring gone
The sitting on it gone
The length gone
The split ends gone
The big fat hair bun gone
The headache gone
The I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-this gone
The waist length hair - GONE

Funnily I am happy about it. I would think I would be sad, guilty, and only secretly enjoying the new hair. But no I am happy ! Ecstatic actually ! I did not plan on going this short. Its shoulder length now. I don't know what is about sitting on the stylist's chair that makes me wanna go shorter n shorter. Even if my uber beautiful stylist is telling me that she will stop at any length I want her to. I still told her .."Hmm...lets take off another inch " She was delighted of course ! Clearly elbow length wasn't the best for what I wanted - bouncy, voluminous, light hair. I started with " Nothing more than four inches will be chopped". Don't ask me how many inches were gone ...all I know is - it wasn't four.

I went for full on big side bangs. Lodda lodda bangs inspired from Nicole and Jennifer Aniston in these picture. I took my lap top with me and showed her all my inspiration pics. We went over what would suit my face and hair type. In the end we settled on lots of bangs and a few long layers. The volume on top thingy, apparently really isn't for hair as thick as mine. It will work well on fine, sleek hair. After wash and cut she ran a little bit of Keratase Volumactive Mousse all over my hair and blow dried it. That was the only product she used ! I generally hate it when stylists use a hundred products to make it look good and then you come back home and you don't really have it all.

The best part is - my hair curled / waved ! Yup it did !Very easily ! When I told Karina my stylist that my hair never curls. She simply said " lemme try " and whipped out her Hot Tools Curling Iron and gave me beautiful bouncy waves just at the ends. So bouncy , so voluminous - loved it ! The curling iron she used was -Hot Tools Curling Iron Its the gold one. Its not even expensive !!!!

Overall I love it ! I hope I continue to like the bangs few days from now. All that hair on your forehead does take a little getting used to ..

Oh and the salon I went to was - Salon Pompeo. When I made the appointment I did tell them that I wanted a few minutes to "interview" my stylist for the blog but that news wasn't given to my stylist. I knew it wouldn't be coz the guy on the phone said " Well, she'll be cutting your hair and you guys can chat" I'm in a good mood so, LOL ! I would have loved a few minutes to help me write a review on the salon. My hair cut cost me $65 ( tip not included) The website says - $45 for a cut. On the phone I was told it would be $50. But $65 is fine too ! I had a wonderful experience. Absolutely no complaints ! Isn't that what we are all looking for !

I think I can safely say , I went from looking tirty to looking sixteen ( give or take seven years)

Love,
Indian Girl

Hi Anon !

Very good question ! I still haven't decided if I must tell her the exact length I cut. I will probably leave it at - a few inches momma ;)

I can relate! I just chopped off about 20 inches of hair. Ditto the weight, boring and sitting on it gone!
Maybe now my conditioner will last longer..

Damn, I cannot believe you did that! It is weird but it takes some kind of courage to chop off all that hair.

Anyways, I am totally inspired by you. I think I will cut my hair off this summer too. Your length is a bit too short for me, though!

Wow.. that's a giant leap IG, waist length to shoulder length :P I absolutely love side way bangs, but cannot bring myself to get it done, I kinda have a oval face, so not if it would suit me :( From what little I see of you, I'm guessing you have a perfectly round face to carry off that hair cut :)

Hi Suki, Anon, JC, Niya, Millimilli, Sara & Madhuri !

Hehhe....yea it ended a bit on the shorter side for me. I've done this before. Last time I went form waist length to a short bob so this time it didn't feel so bad. I just wish I had the forethought to donate the hair like I did last time. Hopefully I'll have another chance.
I spoke to my mom this morning...she was in a super awesome mood and I didn't wanna spoil it by telling my hair story ;) Will save it for now.

I have a few pics up :) And yup I have a round face ...almost as round as Hayden Panettiere and the side bangs look gr8 ! I was advised against the having straight down bangs.
