Good Morning Ladies ! Wow I feel like a radio show hostess. It would be great if I had my own radio show, right ? I 'd have so much to say...Even my own column in a magazine would be great ! You guys know of any Desi Magazines ?

Staying with the beauty theme ( I don't know why I said that) check out these Kohl liners from Loreal's HIP line ($13). These are totally fab. The idea of powder kohl never really lured me but I'm glad I tried these. The kohl comes with the perfect applicator that lets you draw a thick line across your lash line of a very thin one too ! I tried out a couple of looks with it the moment I had my hands on them. The Gold Kohl shade is so right for summer days. Just a splash of it across your upper lash line is more than enough to create a metallic smokey effect. It is more of a dirty gold shade so it is good for the shy girls out there. For the night, the darker shades like Navy Kohl work well. For a total smokey effect draw the navy kohl across upper lash line and along the lower lash line. I love doing this even though my eyes are a little on the smaller side.

Another popular way to apply kohls is to place the applicator horizontally across your lower water line and to close your eye. This way you line the inner lines of your eye. This is perfect if you don't like lining the lash lines and I think it adds a mysterious kinda effect to your eyes. Try it with one of the darker shades. I tried it with the Navy Kohl for the picture below.

The kohl comes with a soft sponge like applicator that did not poke at all. That being said, a little patience and practice goes a long way. These stay put all day long and more. No issues when I used them along my water line. The only thing you must remember to do is to apply a whole lotta translucent powder under your eyes before you apply them because there will be fall out. After application just dust the powder off. This is the one thing I wish the product did not have. It takes away the whole easy application thingy. May be if the powder was a little more dense there wouldn't be a whole lotta fall out. This is the only thing keeping me from getting more of these kohl liners. I avoid mineral makeup for this very reason - fall outs.

Have you tried these instant smokey eye wonders ? Let me know how you apply these. have you found a way to avoid the spillage ?

Love,
Indian Girl

I have NOT found a way to avoid spillage and it kinda makes me mad! I really like these and I wish I could use them without the spillage. I like your idea about using the translucent powder and lining the lower lash line and then blinking to set it. I'll have to try the both of these.
Thanks!

These look gorgeous on you!
I wanted to love this sooo much, but I had an immediate allergic reaction to this. I loved the look, but the puffy, itchy and red eyes ruined the effect. Thank goodness Ulta has a return policy.
I've used real kohl from Egypt, and didn't react to that, but it's almost impossible to find real kohl in the US. :(

You are such a pretty girl, you should be in movies!:)

I am new to your blog but I really love it when you have the eye makeup tutorials because I have dark brown eyes and I never can figure out how to make them stand out but now I have learned some great tips from you so, thank you! The gold color looks really nice on you too.

Have a nice weekend!

hey girly! i ordered me these soon as i read about about them here! i found a good deal with a lot of 3 with teal, black and gold. LOVE THEM! I like the pencil liner, but this is better. I didn't experience much of spillage or raccoon eyes as i do with the pencil liner. i tried the teal liner on bottom lash with a midnight blue liquid liner on the top lid. AWESOME! i got a lot of complements! thank you so much to introducing that here!

I am new to your blog, but I already love it! I bought the brown shade of this and I wanted to ask you if it was safe to apply this product to my waterline? I since there is spillage, I figure it would probably get into my eyes or somethin. Have tried it yet.
