Hey Ladies !

Did you have a good weekend ? Its almost Sunday night, time to get ready to face another week ! It is getting hot out here and I hate it. Why cant we have a normal 65 degrees spring in Texas ? Why is it 80 degrees out there on March 8th !!! How has it been for ya ? Better than mine , I hope ;)

This week I'll be reviewing a bunch of drugstore stuffies that I love / have been in love with for a while. I have a couple of light springy makeup looks coming up and some heavy Desi ( Indian) looks as well. We'll be continuing with the Mascara Marathon with Tarte , Maybelline, Avon and a few more.

Have you guys joined twitter ? If not you must, its a lotta fun ! You can follow me, as well ! I'm always on it announcing what look I'm working on or voicing my thoughts on a particular product or telling you what I am doing, eating or just a random thought . LOL ! It is fun. I don't know who bothers to read what I am up to but it is nice to write a 140 character description simply on what it is I'm doing.

Other than this would you like to see anything else on AIMB ? Send in any ideas you have. I'd love to hear from y'all ! I have tried my hand at making videos a few times but trust me I cant stop giggling once I'm in front of it. Last time I tried doing a Nandita Das Eye Look and after I said, " Today I'll be doing the Nandita Das Look" I started laughing like crazy. Looking at myself in the camera and talking is very weird and hard to do. Kudos to all the makeup gurus on YouTube who do it so effortlessly.

Have a good evening , ladies !

Love,
Indian Girl

hi, just wondering if you could give us a lowdown on the foundations indians can buy here that look ok on indian skin-as you know most of them have pink undertones whereas we have more yellow-toned skin, so buying foundation/concealer/puwder is hell!
Also, do you know of any mascaras that have maximum lift and curl but are good at separating lashes? I have really dense, dead straight lashes that clump like hell and just don't stay up if i just use clear mascara.

thanks!

p.s. your blog is awesome! great to know that someone can mix both western and desi makeup styles so well :) as NRIs we sure have makeup problems here!

HI Kriti !

Aww...thank you for your kind words. ABout the foundations, a few brands that I can think of on top of my head would be Cover FX, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Prescriptives. All these brands have a huge color selection and loads of shades in the desi range :)

Hi Kriti,
I personally like Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara. I think it could work for thick lashes like yours...I am reviewing several other mascara now, so I come across anything that is really good at holding curl...I'll definitely be wriitng a rveiew !
