Makeup should always enhance your natural beauty and Clinique set out to do just that with its Spring 2009 - First Blush Collection.

Fresh Bloom Eye Shadows - A Luminous Wearable Frost

The Fresh Bloom Eye Shadow shadows come in four velvety pastel shades - Apple Blossom, Tiger Lily, Maple Blossom and Cherry Blossom. They are frosty but are of the wearable kind. I have always had trouble applying frosty shadows mostly because they don't blend very well. However the fresh bloom shadows were very easy to apply and blend to create a beautiful, luminous look. If you wanted to get only one of these four I would highly recommend Maple Blossom - a light silver/ grey-taupe color combo.

Quick Blush

Its quick awright ! The new Quick Blush is a portable blush, brush tube which holds the blush in the cap. All you have to do is twist / turn the bottom a little bit and the brush picks up the blush from the cap and then you apply. Great idea - eliminates carrying the blush brush and the you don't have to worry about your blush cracking ! I have these portable brush & product thingies for my blush , foundation & bronzer and I love them all !

One thing though is that, the brush picks up very little color at a time. If you are new to blushes, I would highly recommend this product because it helps you layer the color on your cheeks giving you the opportunity to play with intensity. The color Minute Mocha ( a perfect nude blush) is beyond gorgeous but I do wish it was a little more pigmented so I can get the job done in one twist instead of four. That being said, this is a permanent in my purse because I will do anything to avoid carrying my brush in a Ziploc bag.

Long Last Glosswear SPF 15

I'm sure you all know everything about these glosses and most might even own the color Bamboo Pink ;) The two new colors make a good addition to the existing range. The color First Blush is a clear gloss with lots of fine micro pink, gold shimmer. Honey Shimmer is a dirty rose color with fine silver shimmer. Both colors are very pretty but a combo of the two is the best !

Looks

Keeping it simple and fresh. One can easily pair these two looks with a red lipstick but I love it with the combo gloss ( Honey Shimmer + First Blush) and some bronzer.

When I saw this collection I didn't think the colors would show up on deeper skin tones but they actually look really nice! I really like the blush color too =)
