I finally tried out Freida's look at Golden Globe Awards. It was one of the first BIG events for the girl and her simple looks got her noticed. I did post earlier about the products used and the description for the look. I did the exact same thing except seeing the products gave me a much better insight into what was done on her.

I started out applying the cream shadow in Cashmere all over the lid and under the brow bone. Next using a flat shadow brush I applied the powder shadow in Amaretto all over lid and crease. Followed it with eyeliner in Vert along the upper lash line, lower water line. Line the lower lash line with Amaretto and add some mascara. Done !

My Experience

This is my first rendezvous with Jouer and I'm blown away with its products. Yesterday I wrote about a blush for brown girls. Today I'm gonna tell you about 3 other products that every girl with medium dark - dark skin tone must have. First in that list is the cream shadow in Cashmere. It is a golden taupe shade that works excellently brown skin. Most champagne shadows tend to be too light but this one is like dark taupey - champagne made to look natural on darker skin tones. Absolute must- have.

Next on the list is the shadow in Amaretto. Actually it is great for any skin tone. You will notice that Freida's look was extremely simple yet attractive. The main attraction factor came from this shadow. Its a beautiful taupe shade with hints of fine bronzy shimmer. Perfect for work or a dinner date, all over lid or the crease - it is that versatile.

The eyeliner in Vert is a great choice to complement the look. It is an olive green shade with a golden sheen to it. I 'm going to call this a peek - a - boo liner. It is for those days when you are looking for some definition for your eyes and need a liner that will make you look like your eyes are naturally that defined. It is very creamy, easy to apply. It wont stay on for long along the water line but is good on the lash line.

This stunning eye look was paired with a deep wine color on the lips. The lip gloss in Monsoon is great but Ilike to pair it with a beautiful bronzed pink lipstick - Nicole. This is the third must have, handy product. The color looks great on a variety of skin tones and is natural & dressy at the same time ! How do I know that ? The ladies on Jouer's website show me so. Have you seen their website ? I love the idea of having four women of different ethnicity and skin tones showing us how each color looks on them ! Makes online shopping such a breeze !

I saved the best for the last - the packaging. When you see these products you will notice that a hella lotta thought went into the packaging. It is one of the most travel friendly products I've seen. Everything comes packed in these crisp, chocolate colored cases and each one can be attached to any another. Its like having my own Jouer LEGO set !! This is extremely useful for Makeup artists who want to pre-pack the products used to create a look. You can attach the shadows together, open em up and start working ! How kool is that !!!!

I cant wait to save up and build my own Jouer fort ! All Jouer products are available at Henri Bendel and at Jouercosmetics.com

Love,
Indian Girl

Indian Girl, I love the way your eyes look with make-up.

I would love to know who does your eyebrows? If you do it yourself, what tweezers and techniques do you recommend?

Hi Roxy !
*blush*

Yea, I do them myself...just basic tweezing. been doing it for three years now. I dont really have a method, just pull out the strays and never ever go overboard with it. Plus I am obsessed, so I do em every 3 to 4 days ;)

One awesome tip I have is to get the stencils from Anastasia. The full brow one fits me perfectly. I draw my brows out with it and pull out the stray hairs later. This really helps create and maintain a similar shape for both the brows...hope this helps :)

I saw these products on a professional makeup artists page, they look great on your brown skin. I can't wait to try them. I love the website.
