A lot of us fall into a rut when it comes to hair. I am terribly guilty of it. All I do to my hair is either leaving it open / pony tail / side pony tail / plait it . So, when I found these long hair / medium hair friendly styles I knew I had to share them !

1. SECURE A PONYTAIL WITH A BARRETTE

It gives a looser result than an elastic. To create this style, spritz dry roots with volumizer and massage through with your fingers for a bit of lift, then wrap the ends of the hair around a curling iron. Clip hair back loosely just below the nape of your neck in a tortoiseshell barrette.

2. AIM HIGH

Pumping up the hair at the crown gives you Bardot-style sexiness. Simply work mousse into the hair near the roots (apply a golf-ball size if you have fine hair; a tennis-ball size for thick hair), and lift the area with your fingers as you blow-dry.

3. MAKE OVER A MESSY PONYTAIL

A tousled high ponytail suddenly looks romantic simply by slipping on a thin, stretchy headband near your hairline. The band pushes up the hair slightly at the crown, adding a gentle lift.

4. GET SUPERMODEL WAVES

Gisele's tousled waves are both wild and refined, and her hair style is one of the most sensuous (and requested) around. To get the look, curl your hair in large sections with a one-inch-barrel curling iron, but leave the ends out. That way, the waves will look more natural. When finished, use your fingers instead of a brush to separate the curls.

5. SHINE ON

The right brush can make hair look glossier by simply spreading out your hair's natural oils. Choose a paddle brush if you want smooth, straight hair, or a round one for hair that's fluffy and full—and always go with all boar or boar plus synthetic bristles for maximum shine.

6. COME UNDONE

There's nothing sexier than hair that looks like it's been disheveled by a roll in the sheets. Mimic the effect by scrunching large sections of damp hair in your hands as you move a blow-dryer in circles around your head (hold it about six inches away). This fluffs the hair rather than matting it down. Another trick: Rub your crown lightly, like it's a baby's belly, for a few seconds to create slept-in texture.

7. GO HALFWAY UP

Channel a 1960s-era Catherine Deneuve with this feminine style by pulling a little hair off your face. The key: Make it a wide swath—extending from temple to temple—and secure the hair tightly behind the crown with a simple metal or tortoiseshell barrette.

8. CREATE ROMANTIC CURLS

Even straight hair can hold these curls. Prep damp hair with volumizer, and blow-dry with a round brush. Next, wrap sections of hair around a medium-barrel curling iron, stopping an inch or two from the roots. Place the curls randomly so they don't look like old-fashioned ringlets.

9. ADD SOFT TEXTURE

There's a laid-back vibe to textured hair, probably because it looks effortless—and it almost is. Simply run leave-in conditioner through damp hair to calm frizz, scrunch large sections, then tuck hair behind your ears while it dries to create a gentle wave.

10. DO A SIDE-PARTED PONYTAIL

Start with hair that's got a slightly roughed-up texture—this will keep the style from looking too sweet. Spritz damp hair with volumizer and toss it around with your hands while you blow-dry, then part it just over the arch of one eyebrow before pulling it into a low ponytail over the ears on the opposite side.

Love,
Indian Girl
