Pur Minerals is out with some holiday friendly colors in their new Holiday 2008 Collection. You've got to love holiday collections, they all look so bright and happy to me !
The Smile Pout and Kiss Lip Gloss Trio ($25)
I would call these liquid lipsticks rather than lip glosses . They are rich in their pigmentation and a little bit can be spread all along your lips with the sponge applicator. I felt a tiny burning sensation when I put these on because of the pout plumping formula but it fades away in 2 minutes or so. Did my pout plump? I really cant tell if it did...
Sheer Crystal - a gossamer, pink smile
Glazed Ruby - a radiant, crimson pout
Pür Brilliance - a dazzling, white kiss
My favorite is the Glazed Ruby. Its a divine red with a touch of gold specks to it. I personally would have loved a tiny bit more of gold in it mostly because I have so many red glosses.
The Sheer Crystal and the Pür Brilliance are frosty shades that will make tiny lips look fuller. If there is one season when frosty lip glosses will look uber pretty , it is winter. I found that adding a hint of these on top of Glazed Ruby just in the center of your lips made for a pretty dual toned lip color.
Did you check out the November issue of Instyle magazine ? It has an article featuring the stunning model Korolina Kurkova, on whom the Pür Brilliance glosses are used as part of winter makeup !
Tease, Flirt, Charm Glimmer Pencils ($18.50)
Gold - Tease with a warm, metallic glimmer
Silver - Flirt with a brilliant steel
Emerald - Charm with a rich, velvety green
These are not super creamy so I could not use them on my waterline but along my upper and lower lash line they made for a long lasting eyeliner with a good amount of color. The Emerald is a very pretty green which is neutral enough for work and the gold and silver are good for the inner corner of your eye. I wish they were a little more pigmented and creamy but then may be I should try warming them up a bit more since its super cold outside.
Inspire, Reflect, Celebrate Eye Palette ($25)
My favorite product in this collection is this one. I love the flower pattern and the packaging. If you are rushing out the door and have no time to think of what to wear on your eyes, just throw this kit into your bag , you are sure to find something appropriate with this one. It is a lot like the Paint by Numbers kit , so if you loved that one you will surely like this too. The shadows are soft, come in rich diverse colors . You also get a look book with it to help you create plenty of looks on your peepers. I will show you what I did on mine soon :)
If you are looking for holiday colors in your makeup then this is the line to try. The gold, red, silver and green will surely put you in the holiday mood if your mall decorations haven't already !

I just recently discovered the pur minerals starter kit that you had reviewed some time back and I am really loving it (except for the brush, but I am using a Sonia Kashuk flat top brush instead). I do wish it had a little bit more coverage but I love how it feels on my skin =) This is definitely a line to keep my eye on since Bare Minerals did nothing for me!!
I am so glad you liked it too ! Yeah, the brush isnt very soft. I have been using my flat top brush from A design, works like a charm !
