Deep blues and purples are HOT this pre-fall/fall season. They are very easy colors to pull off on many different skin tones...so make the best of the trend!

For this look, I used the Maybelline Urban Blues palette. The palette has many tones of blue in it making it easier to play up your look for both day and night. The look turned out pretty matte which is perfect for day wear. Since I wore it out at night, I dusted some shimmery white shadow all over it with a fluffy brush. This adds some shimmer / shine and easily takes the look from day to night yet managing to keep the overall effect soft.

The eyeliner can either be worn halfway or all the way on the lower lash line depending on how intense you want the look to be.

Now, here are recs of some beautiful blue shadows for you to play with

Best Blue Shadows:

1. A masterful selection of the most wearable blues. YSL Ombres 5 Lumieres shadow in No. 5 Riviera, $56

2. Shockingly deep pigments with a touch of shimmer. Bobbi Brown Metallic eye shadow in Midnight, $20

3. This vibrant cobalt makes a beautiful liner. Cover Girl Eye Enhancers eye shadow in Indigo Impact, $3

4. Not too blue, not too gray—just right for beginners. The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes palette in Autumn/Winter 08, $22

5. Bits of glitter give it a pretty, metallic sheen. Le Metier de Beaute True Color eye shadow in Midnight Sky, $30

6. Crease-free matte shadows without a hint of chalkiness. Laura Mercier Eye Colour Trio in Blue Hour, $38

My rec: Loreal HIP Bright Eyeshadow in Showy, $8
