Actually I have 2 inspirations for this look. One is Anjelina Jolie in Wanted. I loved loved loved this look she sports throughout the movie, alternating it with a light brownish smoky eye. The other inspiration was this Arabic make up look I found on youtube. Mine turned out to be a combo of both these looks and the end result was impressive. It would have been great if I was headed was a great night out but all I was doing was going to Walgreens.
So I went wearing this look with all black clothes and numerous Indian "aunties" who turned up there started giving me weird looks. I actually dint realize why until I got back into my car and peeped into the mirror. Shouldn't a fellow Indian sport a dark black eye look ? Auntie's verdict - NO, i guess ;)

Products Used and Description:

As mentioned in my earlier smoky eye video, its best to first put the eyeliner on and them start out with the shadow.
Use a black eyeliner pencil - NYC eyeliner in black and line your upper lash line and lower lash line. Smudge it using a smudging brush or a Q-tip. Now apply black shadow - Milani Storm on your outer V and crease. The gap in between stays as such showing your skin color. Blend the black well and smoke it out. Dats about it!! You can choose to use a highlighter and mascara - I did not. The look is pretty simple and all you need is a liner and a black shadow!!

This looks soooo fantastic! This is actually a take on the smokey eye that I haven't read before and it looks soooo good!! I will have to try it out.

I have a question for you: I'm on the hunt for some good cheap makeup brushes (MAC is a little too much for me). I have a couple of ELF brushes (I got 6 but only 3 are any good and they are all the same size). What do you use/recommend?? Your application is always flawless!

Love it , sounds very easy tooo....

I still have to practice on the smudging the crease perfectly. You do it very nicely.

Screw the indian auties, who cares...

Can you also post a picture of your face with the looks , so we can see how it looks overall...

Hey Nosh!
Essence of Beauty from CVS are great brushes. I have all their eye related brushes and have no complaint at all! They are soft, do not shed, remain soft even after washing them. They dont cost a lot either...the small eye kit costs around $10 !!! These are all I use :) Let me know how you like em, when you get em!

Hey Kods24!
Like you said, it took a lot of practice for me to keep the smudging effect as a smudge and not make it vanish. Coming to the full face thingy, I still dont trust the internet enough to put up a full face pic...sorry...
One day, hopefully I will gather enough courage and go ahead and do it!

Hey! That is just fantastic..it doesn't look that heavy..but i have a question did you used an eye penicl or an eyeliner..like liquid liner..or just a kohl pencil for the upper lid..because eyeliner means liquid one right?

Hi Worship-elle!
Yup, I used an eyeliner pencil / kohl pencil on the upper lid. Both eyeliner pencil and kohl pencil are terms used for the same kinda pencil. Eyeliners in general are things used to line your eyes...they can be gel liners / liquid liners/ eyeliner pencils / shadow liners :)
