Am back with Sally Hansen Lip Lab !!

Its been almost one whole week since I posted anything on my blog :( I have missed you guys sooooooo much, but I've been reaaaaally busy. I was in Houston yesterday.....Saniya and Anu I wish I could have met you guys :( I was only there for a day and the trip was super sudden, so I couldnt plan on meeting any one.

Coming to what I have for you today...Thanks to Elizabeth at makeuplovesme I got to try so many wonderful products from Sally Hansen's new line - Lip Lab. They are a line of lip products that include:
Gentle Lip Plumping Lip Treatment glosses
Satin Effects Lip glosses
Lipnotic Gem Gloss
Overnight Lip Recovery
Lip Blush Plumping Balm
Night time (PM) Lip Plumper
Prep and Perfect Lip care and
Line Fix Lip Repair



Of the lip treatments I have only used the Over night Lip Recovery cream. During my trip to Houston, I forgot to carry my Burts bee's lip balm with me and that led to totally dehydrated broken chapped lips. They got so bad, I couldnt wear any gloss or lipstick coz they looked terrible and my lips hurt so bad. So, after I got back home, I was in for a pleasant surprise when my Fed-ex guy dropped off this big package in my patio. I was sooo happy to see all the glosses!! I didnot know I was going to get all of the products in all colors from the line!!!

Coming back to my broken lips.....I opened the Overnight Lip repair first and spread em on my lips and went to bed last night. This morning, no pain, no broken peeling lips...nothing!! Was like magic !!! I was left with soft, smooth , well hydrated lips.

My only issue is the amount of product in the tube. The tube looks quite big but there is hardly any product in it. I dont know how much it costs coz it is not yet available at the stores but I know I wouldnt buy it if it were over $10. The product however is a miracle worker on chapped, dehydrated lips.

The glosses are pretty amazing. I loved the gentle plumping lip glosses. I was very skeptical to try them coz I already have full lips. I was worried they would make me look like a pig. But no....they are awesome!! They slightly fill out the creases on your lips making your lips look fuller without making them look like you got botox. They have a good amount of shine and just a tiny bit of tiny tiny sparkles. I am so in love them and highly recommend them for all kinda lips!!!!!!


The Lipnotic glosses are super sparkly but nothing gawdy. They are perfect for a night out on the town! The colors are pretty sheer so you could also use them over lipsticks for a super shiny juicy lips.


The Satin Effects Lipgloss is good too but they are my least favorite among the lot. The lighter shades are great but the darker shades are hard to spread evenly. You get patches of the color on your lips which do not seem to even out completely with a brush or my fingers. They are a little tricky to apply. The colors however are awesome and super pigmented. If applied well, they come out looking very pretty. These glosses are more like liquid lipstick rather than gloss with a minty cooling effect on your lips.


None of the glosses are sticky and I highly recommend them. I particularly like them coz they are not heavy. I cannot stand the feeling of having something heavy on my lips, makes me feel very uncomfortable. The lipnotic glosses do not stay put for long but are great to try if you are willing to reapply gloss every 2 or 3 hours.
