Like I've always said ...drugstore shampoos and conditioners are great ! They work very well for me. Most spas and high end hair care stores take pride in their "sulfate free " products but somehow they never worked on my hair and they cost a bomb ! But a lot of women seem to be moving away from regular shampoos to sulfate free ones. The sulfate in regular shampoos supposedly strip our hair of moisture and color. Loreal took note of all this and came out with their own version of a sulfate free shampoo and condi for drugstore queens like me.
After having had a pretty good experience with their Vive Pro line I was excited to see what this does to my hair. I tried the Ever Pure Shampoo in Rosemary Mint and the Conditioner in Rosemary Juniper. Both the scents were super refreshing and left my hair smelling fresh ! The rosemary mint might be a little strong if you've never used a mint shampoo before. But with time I'm sure it'll grow on you.
Though it is sulfate free, the shampoo creates mad lather ! I love it ! It cleans without drying and for $6.99, it turned out to be a very good product. The conditioner followed up just as good with its creamy texture and good moisturizing properties. Overall they worked just as well as the Vive Pro did. Very very good but not outta the world.
Have you tried the Loreal Ever Pure line yet ? What did you think of it ? What is your fav drugstore shampoo & condi ? I am looking out for a new combo now and would love to hear whats doing ti for you !
Love,
Indian Girl

I had very high hopes for Ever Pure and man, was I disappointed. I've been using sulfate free, low or no silicone shampoos and conditioners for a while so I wasn't surprised not to get that slick, 'cone coated hair texture. What did surprise me (because I'd read some very good reviews) was how terribly dry this made my hair. My stylist, who knows I'm broke and never pushes salon products on me, was shocked at how crispy my (fine, color treated) hair had become. The only thing that had changed in my hair routine was the introduction of the Ever Pure a few weeks earlier. Now I'm having to baby it like mad to get it back into shape. Hope it works better for you than it did for me.
I just started using the shampoo, conditioner, and UV spray (protectant from the sun to maintain color). All 3 are from the volumizing line of the EverPure products. I'm very, very happy with all 3 products and plan to continue using them!
Hi Martha !
Too bad it dint work for ya :( What is your fav shampoo / conditioner ?
Hey Shefali !
Long time No see !Oh I haven't tried the UV Spray yet...is it just for days out in the sun ?
I tried my free sample last night. It was creamy, lathered up nicely, and smelled really nice! I love the mint and since I have used the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil, it did not seem strong at all. It was very pleasant. Personally, my true test is how does my hair look after it air dries and I must say, L'Oreal Everpure passed! It also passed the "comb through" test after towel drying my hair. I have very thick, coarse, and wavy hair - sometimes, using Infusium leave-in treatment is the only way to get through to the ends, but it seemed to moisturize and detangle very well. I will try it when I run out of my current shampoo/conditioner.
Thank you,
Leslie
PS I am glad I found your blog!
