I've got a more appropriate (AKA longer) name for this product - Olay Purifying Mud Creamy Lathering Cleanser. ( I added the creamy in the pic too )

With a dry face like mine the only thing I can think of when I read Mud & Lathering is - dryness. With a creamy in between there somewhere it relaxes me a bit. Wont you agree ?

For a long time I relied on Olay Foaming Face Wash For Sensitive Skin to keep my skin happy. I've had some very good skin memories with it and this cleanser follows close behind. Its extremely foaming and foams up fast without stripping what little natural oils I have left on my face. That being said it doesn't necessarily moisturize my skin and I dont expect that of a clenser unless its a oil cleanser. $7.99 is a price I am willing to pay for it. But I'd be grabbing off the shelf if its on sale !

Its quite good at taking off foundation ( Smashbox HD). I don't use it around the eyes - the first time I did , I thought I noticed a bit of drying. Plus may be mud around eyes aint a good idea anyways. Its a very good cleanser but it isnt replacing my mud masks ever ! Those masks exfoliate and loosen up my black heads , y'all !

Have you tried this cleanser ? What was your experience like ? I'm curious to see how well it works on folks with oily skin.

Love,
Indian Girl

I am always confused and amused when it comes to choosing cleansers ;). Either they are too drying or waaaaaaaay too creamy :P. The Aveeno cleanser (positively ageless) has been working well for me. I also use Vitamin E cleanser from The Body Shop (though it is the "way too creamy" kinds).I once bought this cleanser from Cosmedicine, ugh, it didn't do ANYTHING that the people at Sephora claimed it would. So I am back to my regular Aveeno :). Having said that, i also love me some pampering in the form of "Angels on Bare Skin" from Lush. Scrub, cleanser and light moisturizer for lazy evenings. Don't know ow well it removes foundation though. Will give Olay cleanser a try.

Hi Muscial !

I know what you mean - Neutrogena cleansers hardly ever work on me. And I used to love Clean & Clear Morning burst except now - it dries me out completely :( Glad you found your HG in Aveeno !

Hi Anon !

I really like Multani Mitti - a form of clay mask sold in Indian stores. Also I love the Biore even smoother microderm exfoliator & Alaska Glacial's Mud Mask. Hope this helps !

I love multanni mitti! I have a hard time getting a hold of it in my area though.
Im not sure where I should place this question but its kind of relevant here: my skin is in better shape these days, but im still looking for a really good foundation. I have a really hard time picking one, do you have any advice?
I would love to use a powder foundation/mineral foundation--hate the cakey feel of liquid. MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation oxidizes on me, Bare Minerals doesnt have a color match. I'd say I'm around NC45, or a C6/C7 in MAC.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU COULD POSSIBLY PROVIDE
