The Patriotic Cheesecake




The Indian flag ends up inspiring an unlikely prospect- a cheesecake.

Chefs at the coffee place, Mocha have turned to what they do best to show their love for our country. They created this tricolor cheesecake(Rs. 150). Creative stuff, no doubt. However will it make you wait in line to stuff yourself with this Indian flag inspired sweet treat, is to be seen. 

Personally I would have loved a navy blue coloured chakra made with white chocolate on top, to make it more Indian. The saffron (orange), white and green can easily be used to mark Ireland or Ivory Coast who share the colours with India. How's that for today's lesson in history.

    What a special colour mix on a cake! I remember when I visited India many years ago, I was so impressed of all the colours everywhere. Wish to come back.

    There's only one thing better than a cheesecake and that's a cheesecake colored like the countries flag. I bet it's as delicious as it looks.

    When I got married I owned two cookbooks, both of which were Taste of Home cookbooks that are no longer published. In one of the cookbooks was a recipe for a cheesecake and I decided to tackle making it one year.

    Wow, love that. And, of course, you could make something similar for any country (I'm currently in Thailand, which would be red, white and blue :)
