I like to store mine in Quart / Gallon sized Ziploc bags. They are sanitary IMO. I wash them regularly with shampoo, air dry them and zip em up in bags. One bag with eye makeup brushes and another with face brushes. One more with brushes I don't use very often.
Something about storing them in open pots scares me. Especially when I see the amount of dust a house can accumulate. So, storing them in bags is my way of taking control of the situation.
How do you store your brushes ?

I store them in upright pots, since I use them everyday and need easy access. One of my resolutions for 2010 is to wash them more often though!
ReplyDeleteI usually store mine in a pencil stand sort of a box...but your post just made me wonder if putting them in a ziploc bag would be better.
ReplyDeleteI put them in a ziploc bag too!! Thought I was the only one who does that..
ReplyDeletegood to know :-)
I store them in my Caboodle. It has 3 compartments - I store them in the top tray, lying flat on their sides. I don't have that many brushes though - I think around 7 or 8, so they all fit nicely. No germs can get on them as the Caboodle snaps shut!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a big collection. I keep mine in a pencil case type box. By the way someone told me to first dip the brush in coconut oil before washing it with shampoo. So that's what I do, I guess it keeps the bristles in good shape.
ReplyDeleteI like d pic, really funny! I dont have many, so no point in talking abt my storage! jst pop them in my wash bag!
ReplyDeleteI store them in clear upright pots as well, filled with these beady marbles so that the brushes stay up. It makes them a little more decorative on my counter, and I think (hope) I wash them often enough that dust isn't a problem.
