I have straight hair with wirey crazy pieces in it(thanks hormones!)....this calms my hair gives me great shine, has a light (amazingly wonderful) smell, and also is the best tangle remover I have ever found. HOLY GRAIL, sista!! It is a little expensive, but even with hair down to my lower back I can still make a large bottle last a whole year. I think that quality product with this much usage time is economical, but it is a little investment in gorgeous hair. I use this almost every single day...a little goes a long way(start by adding little to ends only and build slowly and cautiously cause its oil)...I don't feel like it leaves a build up or weighs my hair down. I actually think it helps give my long hair more movement, without tangling or matting. Try it out! Sometimes I can find it at Target even though it is usually only found in salons. Target ocassionally has a package deal where you get their shampoo, conditioner and the Silk Therapy oil ....ALL for about $20. Let me tell you, just the large Silk Therapy oil costs that much, so look out for the value pack. I don't really care for the shampoo and conditioner as much but the Silk Therapy oil CANNOT BE BEAT in my opinion. My hair is so long and thick, people think I have extensions, but I have to give the credit to BioSilk. It keeps my hair from getting tangled or dry which prevents breakage for me. Ok, I've rambled enough....go try it.Leanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09991551412602714899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134888569806783678.post-2807888931582587462009-05-10T08:56:00.000+05:302009-05-10T08:56:00.000+05:30John Freida's weather works amazingly wellJohn Freida's weather works amazingly wellAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134888569806783678.post-86004892332326904152009-05-10T07:57:00.000+05:302009-05-10T07:57:00.000+05:30I use tons of mousse and gel. I used to use creams often but I think the gel or mousse defines my curls a little better in the summer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134888569806783678.post-27613743772414376202009-05-10T05:07:00.000+05:302009-05-10T05:07:00.000+05:30Where do I start? And I live in hot and humid Honolulu - it is 86 now, and almost as humid! I use a variety of shampoos and conditioners. The best conditioner for me is Lush Jungle, applied BEFORE shampooing. The best anti-frizz with thermal protection: 2 pumps of John Frieda thermal protection hair serum, worked in really well. Then one blob of Sunsilk Hydra TLC and just a bit of Freeman Papaya moisture plus glassy anti-frizz cream at the front and ends. Flat iron, then finish with a pump of Rene Furterer Karite serum (yes, I know you're supposed to put this on ends, but I smooth it on the sides and back, which threaten to poof out. It helps!) The next day, I might use Aveda Smooth Infusion to calm down my hair if needed. Yes, much too much product, but this is what works!
I am going to try these Furterer products to see if they make a difference: Myrrhea silkening kit with shampoo, conditioner and leave-in fluid. Karite nourishing kit with conditioner and no-rinse. I decided to buy these to try because you get a free Furterer
Okara Protective Radiance Serum when you buy 2 Furterer items at beauty.com. And the Lela Rose makeup bag with goodies when you spend over $100.
I'll let you know if it's worth it if I ever get it (I AM on an island) and it supposedly will take 3 to 4x longer to get here.Sooshttp://www.auntiepupule.com/blog/soos.phpnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134888569806783678.post-41016882378997626202009-05-10T04:37:00.000+05:302009-05-10T04:37:00.000+05:30Hi herblady !

The only extra thing I use is a little styling mousse just around my face because I have all these wiry little short pieces of hair sticking out! I hate the build-up on my hair that it makes so I am going to try this the way you did and see if that helps.
