My dad's a dermatologist, so my sister and I would get yelled at if we went ahead and popped anything on our faces (zits, blackheads etc).

I use:
1.) Thursday Plantation Tea Tree face wash (I LOVE this stuff, been using it for close to 10 years. I use it once a day, and it keeps the zits at bay!)

2.) Vichy Normaderm face cream (for the light patch of seborrheic dermatitis, that usually accompanies, on my cheeks right by my nose) - this cream is awesome. It's very non-oily. And dries up to a powder-ish finish.

3.) Isotrexin gel - This is by far the best thing I've come across for spot-acne treatment. It's supposed to have a bit of retinoid (vit A) that roaccutane has, but it's not that severe. It's great for those huge zits that take about a week - 10 days to disappear.

The Lush face mask looks really appealing. Should try that out soon. :-)Nikynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5134888569806783678.post-79889756922614573172009-11-12T08:08:21.791+05:302009-11-12T08:08:21.791+05:30Hi...

My skin type is ...Thanks IG for the follow up post! My skin type is normal with oily T zone and I get few pimples once in a while, mostly around that time of the month. This is what I do,

1) Cleanse - Neutrogena Acne Stress Control cleanser. Twice a day. I swear by this product, it's very very gentle and non-drying. I like it so much that I use it almost everyday, acne or no acne.
2) Apply oil-free moisturizer for day (Garnier). During night, I just let my skin breathe after the cleansing regimen.
3) Apply Neutrogena on the spot acne treatment. It is pretty effective on relatively small zits, but sometimes I get big and painful pimples and the 'on the spot' treatment doesn't help.

I just bought Burt's bees Anti blemish stick with tea tree oil. Haven't tried it yet (touch wood).

And yeah I never ever pick a pimple. You know more than the pimple it's the scars left behind that I hate!!!

HTH,
Mads

PS: I'm going to stock up on the Isomers daily control serum. Thanks again!!Madsnoreply@blogger.com
